Causes Of Depression

Let there be no doubt that depression is a serious mental illness that sometimes requires months and years of treatment on the road to a cure
.  Each year, millions of people come to the realization that they suffer from depression.  To make things worse it is estimated that only a third of those who suffer the disease will ever seek treatment.  Because depression is considered a mental affliction, many sufferers shy away from seeking help from a doctor.  They would rather deal with the problem on their own than risk being stereotyped should they seek assistance.  Unlike a headache depression doesn’t eventually stop on its own, and more people suffer from depression than you might think.

What are the causes for depression?  The answer can get very complicated because you have to take many factors into consideration.  There are so many things factored into the cause of this disease. Let’s list a few of the contributing factors to depression.  Many medical professionals believe that depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain.  This may be the case, but what causes that imbalance?  Generally the causes are internal – biological issues, genetic disposition, mental problems – but there are external causes as well.  Doctors sometimes don’t find the root cause, which is true for many patients.  Many become depressed when they are diagnosed with a very serious medical condition.  This is especially the case if the diagnosis presents the possibility of death or impairment.

The loss of a loved one or treasured possession can have a tremendous impact resulting in depression. Long periods of emotional, sexual or other physical abuses can result in depression.  In addition, many cases of depression are given birth by substance abuse, rather it be drugs or alcohol.  The mental state of a human can be very fragile depending on their environment and the life events that they have been exposed too.  There can also be a genetic element to depression. A strong correlation between family history of depression and current depression has been found .  Many prescription drugs can cause depression.  It has been clinically proven that some high blood pressure medication can cause depression.

A major cause of depression is stress.  Stress can derive from many different areas in our life.  It’s not well known, but it’s true, that stress can result from the pressures associated with positive events such as a new, high paying job.  The unknown is often the root cause of this stress, whether it be positive or negative.  Arguments with family members, disputes with business clients can both cause stress.  Some people have a low threshold for stress.  They’re affected by events and activities that to others seem to not be stressful.  Knowing is half the battle.  Seek medical help if you or a loved one suffer from depression.

Reasons, Signs And Remedies For Diabetes Type 1

In some individuals the pancreas are unable to function effectively so they do not produce sufficient insulin. This condition is referred to as type 1 diabetes. In type 1 diabetes, the sugar enters the bloodstream instead of cells. This creates a deficit of numerous nutrients in the cell and the cells are made to extract these nutrients from other body parts.

The exact cause of type one diabetes is unknown. It occurs when a toxin or a virus triggers the immune system to mistakenly attack the pancreas and destroy the beta cells. Genetics also play a part. Though the disease typically starts younger than the age of 20, this type of diabetes may begin at any age.

Type 1 diabetes is accompanied by numerous symptoms. Some of these symptoms include increase in thirst and appetite, unexplained weight loss, weakness and fatigue, dryness in the mouth, nausea, vision problems, frequent urination, skin infections for example.

The extreme caution appearances of the illness include intestinal pain, shaking, puzzlement, rapid breathing and fruity scent of the breath.

In case, you are experiencing any symptoms of diabetes type 1, then you must get your blood sugar levels checked. A urine test will also help in checking the number of glucose or ketone bodies.

Not curing type one diabetes with an appropriate treatment can lead to significant health problems such as damage to kidneys and nerves and retinopathy.

Retinopathy refers to the loss of vision. Nearly 75% of people who have suffered from diabetes for the past ten years or so have a tendency to have vision problems. In order to avoid retinopathy, you may take acceptable steps to lower your blood pressure and also keep your cholesterol levels in check.

Damage to kidneys or nephropathy as a consequence of type one diabetes happens in almost 40% of diabetics. The chance of kidney damage is higher in patients with a high age. Damage to kidneys due to diabetes can lead to serious illness, heart diseases and even kidney failure.

Damaged nerves which occur as a result of type one diabetes can reduce blood clotting in injuries. It might also lead to decreased sensation and poor circulation in the feet. It can further induce digestive problems such as nausea, barfing or diarrhea.

The illness, though, can’t be cured, can be managed with insulin shots, exercise, foot care, education and regular blood testing for glucose level readings.

Making alterations in your normal diet can also help you keep type 1 diabetes in control. Include more of fruits and fiber rich substances in your diet and cut down on the intake of junk ad unhealthy food. to date, there is no specific treatment for type 1 diabetes. Though technological developments in monitoring sugar levels and insulin delivery techniques have made the process of treating type one diabetes simpler, an abiding cure still remains unknown.
