A Hemroid Treatment that is an Effective Remedy for Constipation
One of the main causes of hemroids is constipation. When we become constipated and fail to have regular bowel movements, our waste matter stays within our systems for a longer period than is desirable. This may lead to our stool becoming harder and drier. When we do eventually go to the toilet, this harder, more abrasive stool passes through the anal canal and out through the anus and can harm the hemroidal veins, causing us to get what we commonly refer to as Hemroids or hemorrhoids. If we want to get a cure for hemroids and not simply take care of the symptoms, we need to find a way of curing constipation or at least find a means of preventing constipation occuring. This short article sets out some of the remedies for constipation and presents the steps to adopt to prevent constipation occurring that are also an effective Hemroid treatment.
One of the key remedies for constipation is to improve your diet and eat healthier food. The commonest cause of constipation is the lack of fiber and roughage. Once you change your diet to include foods that are abundant in dietary fiber, the chances of getting constipated will be greatly reduced. The general guideline is to aim for around 20 to 30 mg of fiber each day. You should aim to achive this by eating the appropriate fiber rich foods, but if this proves difficult that increase your fiber intake by taking fiber supplements.
In addition to increasing your consumption of fiber you need to reduce how much sugar you eat and cut out those foodstuffs that have little fiber or have no fiber at all. If possible, you want to adopt a healthier diet without any junk foods and processed food items. Take the time to prepare and cook your own meals as this will put you completely in control of what you eat.
As well as increasing your intake of fiber, you will need to soften your stool by increasing your water intake. Also, try and avoid becoming dehydrated – keep a water bottle nearby and hydrate regularly. It is recommended that you drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water each day. Consuming alcohol and caffeine-rich drinks do not count, in fact, they should really be avoided as they can lead to dehydration. By just cutting your intake of coffee and beer, you should see a lot of improvement.
Eating a healthy diet is always the best option. But, combining your proper diet with sufficient physical exercise will greatly improve your overall health and well-being. Another major reason for constipation and hemroids is leading a sedentary lifestyle and being overweight.
Exercising doesn’t mean going to a high-priced fitness center. Even a basic activity such as taking your family dog for a 30 minute brisk walk each day would be a great help. You can try jogging around your neighborhood or do some brisk walking in a park. Take the stairs rather than the lift if you just need to climb a floor or two.
The above suggestions are effective remedies for constipation that will help prevent you from suffering with constipation and and thus provide an effective Hemroid treatment.
