I’d like to learn more about the difference between over training your muscles, and cardio training that helps to stimulate maximum muscle growth from my bodybuilding.
In my old training routine, three times a week I would do 10 to 12 weight lifting exercises, two sets of ten reps. The drills covered all the major muscle groups, with an emphasis on chest muscles. Following the 45 minute weight workout, I would go and swim 700 to 1000 meters.
I followed this routing for nearly a year, and my fitness improved a good deal.
Recently I’ve become more focused on my muscle gain, and started to read more about how bodybuilding actually works.
I was told that, as far as maximizing muscle growth, my workout routine is actually considered over training… and, my diet, though it was very healthy, the amount and types of foods I was eating was not supplying my body correctly for gaining lean muscle size.
